Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

Environmental Protection Agency, commonly referred to as the EPA, is a U.S. federal government agency. It's dedicated to protecting human health and preserving the environment by setting and enforcing regulations based on laws passed by Congress. The EPA oversees several key areas including air and water quality, hazardous waste management, and pest control. One of their functions involves regulating pesticides under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). This includes reviewing and registering pesticides for use, ensuring their safe application and disposal. It's important for pest control companies to comply with EPA regulations to safeguard the environment and public health.
