About these terms
pestagent.ca ("Pest Agent", "we") is operated by 9491-0510 QUEBEC INC. By using the site, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
What Pest Agent does
Pest Agent publishes information about pests and pest control, a directory of pest control companies, and city rankings computed with our published method (How we rank). The companies listed are independent businesses. Pest Agent does not perform pest control work, is not a party to any agreement between you and a company, and does not guarantee the work, prices, availability, licences or insurance of any company.
Rankings and sponsored cards
Rankings are based on public data collected on the date shown on each page and scored with our published method. A company cannot pay to change its score or its rank. Some companies pay for a Verified partner card; these cards are advertisements, always labelled Sponsored and kept outside the numbered list. We correct factual errors at the next update, the same way for every company.
Quote requests
Asking for a quote is free and without obligation. When you send a request, we forward it to one company only, as explained on the form and in our Privacy policy. The company decides whether and how to answer, and any price or agreement is between you and that company. Please send only true information about your own request.
Information on the site
We work to keep the information accurate and current, but it can contain errors or become out of date. Pest and treatment information is general and does not replace the advice of a qualified professional. Always follow product labels and safety instructions.
Product recommendations and links
Some pages recommend products or link to other websites. We are not responsible for the content of other websites. When a link earns us a commission, the page says so (Editorial Standards).
Acceptable use
Do not send false or abusive requests, try to disrupt the site or its forms, or copy large parts of the site by automated means. Text, rankings, scores, design and logos of Pest Agent belong to us or to their owners and may not be reused without permission, except short quotes with a link to the source.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Pest Agent is not liable for the acts or omissions of the companies listed or contacted through the site, or for decisions made on the basis of information on the site. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act (Québec) or any other law that cannot be waived.
Privacy
Our Privacy policy explains how we handle personal information. It is part of these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version and date at the top of this page tell you which version applies. Material changes are announced on this page before they apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. A consumer in Québec keeps the protection of Québec law and may bring a claim before the courts of Québec.
Language
These terms are available in French and in English. Both versions have the same value.
