Permethrin

Permethrin

Permethrin, a widespread term in the pest control industry, is a synthetic molecule, known as a pyrethroid, utilized extensively as an insecticide. It works repelling, sterilizing, or murdering pests, evolving from a plant-derived compound called pyrethrum. Permethrin can be applied on fabrics, including clothes or mosquito nets, making them insect-resistant. We often find it in homeowner-use products, from indoor point-of-contact sprays like Raid to outdoor garden and lawn care products. Its action is quick and deadly against pests, but it's moderately safe if humans or pets come into contact. Despite this, using proper protection during application is recommended to avoid any possible side effects.
